What a relief!

For a moment I was worried my arm was dead forever, but thank god I can still use it for pulling out the visa card a tab the pin code....
Hey, it was a bargain...but look...wow.... it's PURPLE!!!!

Flowers..again

It has been a while hasn't it?

My brussels sprouts are doing great A shame you can't smell it!

One of the surprice flowers from a friend
The first dahlia from the same friend's bulbs (now mine obvious)

Welcome to downstream SP10

SP10 is over and I welcome Marion to my blog. I have been spoiling her for the past 3 months and hope she enjoyed my surprises. SP10 has been a lot of fun and is a great way to get to know each other. I recently counted the number of mails I have received from my upstream pal, Jennie, over 50! And they are not just short notes!
I don't know whether or not to sign up for SP11. As long as my arm behaves so stupid there's not much point in it. This knitting blog is a little short on knitting these days, but I hope to make a come back.
A few weeks old. The lupins are gone and I am now enjoying the borage.

Tak til pigerne!

Tak for en dejlig aften og alle de skønne gaver. Jeg glemte at sætte humus, oliven, kiks og melon på bordet, men I blev vist mætte alligevel. Jeg kommer til at leve af ost de næste dage!!

I had a bunch of girlfriends for b'day last night. Lots of wonderful presents! Lots of leftovers -I'll be fed up with cheese in a couple of days!

Lemon Curd

I am having 10 girlfriends for cheese and wine tonight so have been busy with cooking. Yesterday I made lemon curd for the first. Gosh that is tasty! Try it out!!

Lemon curd:

• 40 g butter

• 100 g sugar

• 1 lemon, rasped and juiced

• 1 egg, whisked

Start off rasping the lemon. Then juice it. Mix everything in a bowl and heat it slowly (I immersed the bowl in boiling water) while whisking. After 15 min it starts to thicken. Don't let it boil! Remove from the heat and put it into a jar.

How depressing is that...!?

Eight skeins of beautiful bordeaux soft kidmohair silk yarn for my to be Cap Shawl......

....and a tiny little swatch later my arm is dead!!

Not even the brand new golden Addi lace needles sent along with yarn could rescue me.
Sigh!
I am trying to get used to the thought of no knitting all summer.
Sigh.....

Skt. Hans Bonfire

My blog had more than 50 hits yesterday!! Wow. Who are you all?
Below are word pictures fra Skt. Hans Eve, which just happens to be my birthday :-) If some of the pictures look blurry it's because I was playing around with the time shutter, trying to capture the fire in the dark.

And I have to admit I was secretly hoping she would make me one!! She's a mindreader!

Dear Purplejen :-) once again a zillion million trillion thanks for a wonder parcel and all the great presents. I have so enjoyed all the parcels you've send me, all the things wrapped up one by one. I am glad I woke up so early and could selfishly enjoy every single second :-)
The only bad thing -a huge bad thing- is that this was the final parcel and SP10 has reached the end. :-(
