AND....yes....it's Jaggerspun Zephyr!!!

My moanings in the Spring Shawl Surprice group about not having ever tried nor seen Zephyr was read by Reb and she asked if she could send me a little skein enough for a scarf so I could try it out. How could I resist???

And then what does she do! She spoils me with a wonderful surprise and skeins of Zephyr i three different colours! Do I like it? YES! Is it suitable for SSS? YES!

And it is so much fun and extremely interessting to get to know someone so far away!

Thanks a million Reb, you really made my day.

I already have plans for the yarn...but it's a secret ;-)

Silk for Swallowtail

My new stationary arrived last night and I still have lots of things to install. But I managed to get a picture of a Purple Jen present I just opened. Part 2 of a bad day (bad week so far) and it sure cheered me up 'cos inside was a skein of beautiful beautiful lace weight silk in the most fantastic turquoise-blue colours. Just enough for a Swallowtail.

Purple 'n Gold

My Addi turbo circulars arrived today and with 7mm needles and 75m/50g making a sweater isn't a huge problem. My only problem: do I have enough yarn!? Argh! Have spend 1 and have 8 left!!

And who sneaked a hank of black kidmohair into my basket??!! (looking very innocent)

And (ahem) 5 skeins of 100% merino fingering yarn. That's 4000 meters of lace yarn!! (until 5 min ago I thought it was "only" 2000m . Have never been good at the lace-fingering-DK etc terms. But I am very pleased to find out I was wrong)

I already have plans for some of it.

But I'm not gonna tell until later ;-)
